Bulldog and Farmer Museum
at the Landgasthof-Hotel Rebstock
On April 10, 2005, a farmer's and bulldog museum was opened in the old barn, which used to be the home of the "vine" farm.
A collection of unique rarities that has been gathered over more than 30 years of collecting passion is presented on 3 levels.
Tractors and bulldogs were found on the ground floor and the first floor until the 1920s, which makes many a tractor enthusiast's heart beat faster. In addition to many traditional German manufacturers such as Heinrich Lanz, Kramer, Hanomag or Deutz, rare types of Swiss and international tractors such as Hürlimann, Bührer, Köpfli and Fordson can also be admired.
Many of the enamel signs on display are also rare. Another focus of the museum are farm equipment from the grain cleaning mill to the corn cob corer to the pitchfork as it has grown in the forest. Transport sleds, chainsaws, old bicycles, motorcycles and motors for the once stationary drive of a wide variety of machines.
An old smithy with bellows, field hood and tools are contemporary witnesses of the old craft. Countless objects tell of the earlier economic activity in households. The wash tub is not missing, as is one of the first wood-burning washing machines, irons, and cast-iron waffle irons.
A sophisticated machine, the "electric grandma", which took over the rocking of prams, can also be discovered here.
A functioning, belt-driven transmission lets old machines work as before.
Due to the close proximity to our Landgasthof-Hotel, we also offer you an aperitif for your festivity in our museum as well as a schnapps tasting. You can also enjoy a farmer's vesper or Black Forest ham on a wooden board in the middle of this cultural museum.
