group excursions

Our group excursions take you to the most beautiful places in the area:

Black Forest Tour:
Black Forest tour via St. Blasien, where we visit the cathedral with its dome modeled on the Pantheon in Rome. Then the journey continues via Todtnau through unique Black Forest landscapes up to the Feldberg. There is also the possibility to climb the Feldberg summit on foot or by lift. Alternatively, we drive to Titisee and get on the "Gäpfle-Bähnle". On a one-hour tour at a leisurely pace, you will discover a picturesque landscape and romantic valleys. Then we drive along the Schluchsee to the Hüsli local history museum (Dr. Brinkmann House, Black Forest Clinic).

Black Forest and Hotzenwald:
Via Waldshut and then through the Alb valley we drive to Görwihl, the capital of the Hotzenwald. From there on to Todtmoos (place of pilgrimage and health resort). If the weather is nice, you continue via Präg to the Black Forest's most beautiful panoramic mountain, "the Belchen". From there with the Belchenbahn to the Belchenhaus. Return via Präg, Bernau and Rothaus.

Appenzellerland:
Winterthur - Appenzellerland
Via Winterthur we drive into the rustic Appenzellerland. Visit to a cheese dairy. Continue to Schwägalp. From here a modern cable car takes you up to the 2500 m high Säntis. Here you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Alps and Lake Constance. Return via the Toggenburger Land to Stühlingen.

Schaffhausen/Mainau:
Schaffhausen - Stein a. Rhein - Mainau
Today we start our excursion with the destination Schaffhausen, where we visit the Rhine Falls. From there we continue to the picturesque village of Stein am Rhein. We continue along Lake Constance to the magnificent and always colorful flower island of Mainau. We drive back via Singen a. Hohentwiel to Stühlingen.

Taubergießen-Fahrt:
Freiburg und die Geldermann Sektkellerei Breisach
Via Bonndorf - Lenzkirch, past the Titisee and through the Höllental with the famous Hirschsprung we reach Freiburg. Here it is worthwhile to plan enough time for a city tour. In addition to the cathedral, the old winding streets and shops, a look into the honey house is recommended. From Freiburg the journey continues through the Kaiserstuhl to Breisach.
Here we let ourselves be guided through the sacred halls and old cellar vaults under the Münsterberg through the Geldermann private sparkling wine cellar. A tasting follows so that you can convince yourself that a Geldermann justifies the greatest effort.

Sauschwänzlebahn:
By bus to the wheat station, 4 km away. There you change to the nostalgic "Sauschwänzlebahn". You drive over the railway line, which was built for strategic reasons in 1887-1890, along the wild and romantic Wutach Valley and Mühlbachtal, over great viaducts that span villages and whitewater, through Germany's only roundabout tunnel up to the town of Blumberg, where you can still visit the railway museum. Back from Blumberg we take a break in Blumegg-Weiler. There is one in the 17./18.th mill that was uniquely built in the 19th century under German mills. The variety of functions, the transmission of water power over the individual floors to the grinders, rubbing and pounding, testify to the highly developed mill construction art of the 17th and 18th centuries. Century. Guided tour and commissioning of the mill by appointment.

Vierwaldstättersee:
Lucerne is on our program today. After the always good breakfast we drive via Waldshut (border with Switzerland) - Brugg - Lenzburg - Sempachersee to Lucerne. There you have the opportunity to take a boat trip on Lake Lucerne and to visit the old town or, interestingly, the Transport Museum in Lucerne. The journey home takes us via the pilgrimage site of Einsiedeln, past Lake Zurich via Schaffhausen to Stühlingen.

Titisee/Vogtsbauernhöfe:
See, smell and feel the Black Forest again. We drive past the Titisee via Hinterzarten to Triberg and Furtwangen, where we have the opportunity to marvel at the clock museum and the largest cuckoo clock in the world. From there it goes to Gutach to the Vogtsbauernhöfe. Impressive Black Forest farms from the 16th to 18th centuries with the associated storehouses, bakery and still houses, mills and saws await you. In addition or as an alternative, you can also visit the glassworks in Wolfach or the Ospelehof in Hinterzarten. Take a look behind the scenes of this farm dairy and experience how Black Forest mountain cheese and whey cosmetics are made.

Altstadt Schaffhausen:
The morning is free for the group. You can explore the town on your own or you can take a guided tour of the Capuchin monastery, which is only a few steps away from our house. In the afternoon a short trip to the old town of Schaffhausen or to the gypsum mine directly behind the border. If you are in the mood for culture, the "Museum zu Allerheiligen" is a pearl among the museums in Schaffhausen. Alternatively, a walk on the Munot "the landmark of Schaffhausen" or along the Rhine invite you to linger.

If you would like a tour guide for a few days, we will be happy to assist you. Costs approx. € 120 per day
